Lying back under a sky full of stars is one of the simplest kinds of awe travel offers. These stays publish a specific stargazing feature, not just 'dark skies'. Plan around the moon: the week around a new moon is darkest.

Which luxury resorts have a stargazing program?

When is the best time to go stargazing?

It depends mostly on the moon and the weather. Aim for the days around a new moon, dry seasons and high, inland places away from cities. The Milky Way's bright core is best seen in the Northern Hemisphere from roughly late spring to early fall. DarkSky International lists certified dark-sky places worldwide.
