What is the best area of Bali for a wellness trip?
Quick answer
It depends on what you want to wake up to. Ubud is the inland, green choice: rice terraces, the Ayung River valley, yoga and spa culture. Uluwatu, on the Bukit Peninsula, is the clifftop ocean choice. Seminyak is the beach-and-culture choice, with more restaurants and nightlife nearby. Many travelers split the trip: three or four nights in Ubud, then three or four on the coast.

Can you combine Bali with a small-ship trip?

When is the best time to go to Bali?
It depends on how you feel about rain. Bali's drier months generally run from about April to October and the wetter season from about November to March. Wet-season days often mix sun with short heavy showers, and the island is greener. Check current conditions before you book.
