It depends on the trip. If you want a beach plus most of yoga, juice, horses and hiking, look at Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve (No. 44), Rosewood Miramar Beach (No. 24) or Le Barthélemy (No. 100). A hotel is "high vibe" when it shows public evidence of all six values below. Each value is scored 0 (no public evidence found), 1 (present or partial) or 2 (strong and verified), for a total out of 12.

  • Local and Sustainable: the hotel documents local sourcing, conservation or community programs.
  • Conscious Movement: yoga, hiking, horseback riding or other mindful activity is offered on site or as a guided outing.
  • Inspires Awe and Wonder: the setting includes a landscape, wildlife or view of unusual scale or rarity.
