I first shared these picks in November 2023. I went back through each one's own website on October 24, 2026, kept the ones that still fit, and added notes on what each is best for.

Which California resorts are my top high-vibe picks?

Quick answer

It depends on what restores you. For yoga in a garden setting, I still love Rancho Valencia in Rancho Santa Fe. For a full resort with daily yoga and meditation in the mountains, Ojai Valley Inn. For a small, all-in-one wellness week by the coast, The Pearl Laguna. And for a sunny, social pool day, The Cove at Pechanga in Temecula.

Rancho Valencia Resort & Spa (Rancho Santa Fe)

  • Why I pick it: A garden resort in Rancho Santa Fe with a Yoga Pavilion and a monthly class schedule.
  • What we checked: The October 2026 schedule lists yoga flow, gentle yoga, yoga with meditation and tai chi/qi gong; classes need advance registration.
  • Values: Conscious Movement, Connection with Nature.

Ojai Valley Inn (Ojai)

  • Why I pick it: A full resort in the Ojai Valley with Spa Ojai at its center.
  • What we checked: Daily Mind & Body classes include fitness walks, yoga and meditation.
  • Values: Conscious Movement, Connection with Nature, Inspires Awe and Wonder.
  • On High Vibe Vacay: See the stay · Request this stay

The Pearl Laguna (Laguna Beach)

  • Why I pick it: A small all-inclusive wellness retreat in Laguna Beach that hosts about 8 to 12 guests a week.
  • What we checked: Multi-day programs include yoga, guided hikes, plant-based vegetarian meals, massage and sauna.
  • Values: Conscious Movement, Vibrant Food, Connection with Nature.

Is The Cove at Pechanga still a high-vibe pick?

It depends on the day you want. The Cove at Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula is a big, lively pool complex, not a quiet retreat: Pechanga lists four pools, two spas, two waterslides and a swim-up bar, with an adults-only main pool. It opens for a season each year, so check Pechanga's site for the current season. I keep it for sunny, celebratory days with friends.

Which Arizona resorts would I add?

It depends on the landscape you want. These three are easy to pair with a California trip.

Castle Hot Springs (Morristown, near Phoenix)

  • Why I pick it: A secluded resort on natural hot springs in the Bradshaw Mountains.
  • What we checked: Its own site lists daily yoga, daily guided meditation, paddleboard yoga in the springs and farm-to-table dining.

L'Auberge de Sedona (Sedona)

  • Why I pick it: Cottages and rooms along Oak Creek under Sedona's red rocks.
  • What we checked: Its site describes L'Apothecary Spa, daily resort activities and creekside dining; it is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North (Scottsdale)

  • Why I pick it: A desert resort at the base of Pinnacle Peak.
  • What we checked: Daily fitness classes including yoga, Desert Bathing (a guided outdoor mindfulness walk), trail access from the resort, and a café serving cold-pressed juices.

Which High Vibe Vacay stays are like these?

It depends on the region. In Montecito, San Ysidro Ranch has gardens and hillside trails. In Napa Valley, Auberge du Soleil sits among olive trees above the vineyards. In the desert, Omni Rancho Las Palmas has Spa Las Palmas and pet-friendly rooms. Each has a page with photos, values and sources, and you can ask an advisor to plan any of them.

Which of the six values do these resorts touch?

It depends on the resort. Most of these picks lean on Connection with Nature and Conscious Movement; The Pearl Laguna and Castle Hot Springs add Vibrant Food. We score stays on six values: Connection with Nature, Vibrant Food, Local and Sustainable, Conscious Movement, Inspires Awe and Wonder, and Clean Energy. "High vibe" means those values plus presence and beauty, not a promised result.

How does High Vibe Vacay check the food?

It depends on the kitchen. Our standard is gluten-free, dairy-free and egg-free friendly: we look for kitchens that say on their own pages they cook for special diets, and we always suggest telling the resort ahead of time. We never promise a kitchen can meet every need.
